Today marks the very first day of Ramadan. It is
the first of 30 days that Muslims all around the world set aside to fast, pray
and focus on seeking God. This time last year, right after some friends and I
embarked on a 30-day challenge to pray specifically for Muslims, I had a wonderful,
surprising encounter with a Muslim lady at a farmer's market in Iowa and was
able to share with her the truth of Jesus Christ, who He was, and what He did
for her. You can read about that conversation here.
God hears the prayers of His people! I am excited
about how He is going to work through the prayers of Christians everywhere as
we intercede specifically for the Muslim world for the next 30 days. The need is
so great, not just for souls to be saved, but for laborers to be sent to the
harvest!
If you would like to pray with me, you can sign up here
for daily emails or here for an informative, 52-page booklet which
coincides with the Islamic month of Ramadan and encourages specific, effectual
prayer for Muslims worldwide.
The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16b
And Jesus said unto them, . . .
If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.
