A Thanksgiving Surprise

I about fell over my chair this past Saturday when my brother came walking through our house with Dad for the first time in almost 6 months!! All smiles, he said, as though it were a victory, "There never was a better kept secret!". He had found a way to get from Arizona to the Omaha airport to Sioux City to home without any of us knowing he was on his way :-) ! Stephen was home for a welcomed visit. We celebrated with friends, had good family time together and he was even in time for our church's annual Thanksgiving Banquet. All too soon his 3 day weekend came to a close and we were saying goodbye. But how neat it was that we were all able to be together again, at home as well as in heart, thanking the Lord for His blessings at such an appropriate season as this.

Philemon 1

4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
